The answer is simple: it all comes down to energy.  

We can use yoga to uncover our energy blocks, balance energy and shift energy.

Comments I have heard regularly when people start doing yoga or shift to slightly more advanced practice is, “since I have been doing yoga my shoulder has been sore”, now I’m not saying that you couldn’t injure yourself through yoga because you can and if you were doing it incorrectly…of course, but if you are doing everything right and all of a sudden you notice a sore wrist or a sore shoulder perhaps it is the yoga showing you where you already have blockages.

One of the most important things you learn as a Yoga Teacher is how to read your students, because no matter how much you ask them “how they are?”, they will very rarely tell you the truth.  You soon pick up on those who come in with stressed energy, anxious energy or depleted energy.

Anxious energy requires 3/4s of the class to be physical before shifting into the relaxation phase. Stressed energy requires about 50/50 of physical and relaxation, due to the fact that when we are stressed, our brain is working overtime and all that negative mind chatter actually depletes your energy.  Those that come in and it looks like they have mustered all their energy just to get to class really need a Yin or Restorative practice and a lot of breathwork.

As a teacher, it can be frustrating as we want each and every one of our students to have the experience their body needs, but when you have a student with anxious energy, a student with stressed energy and a student completely energy depleted, turn up to the same class it’s impossible to give everyone exactly what they need.

So I have created Soulful Self Practice.  It is a customised yoga programme created especially for you, adapted to suit your body and lifestyle, that you can do at your convenience and in the privacy of your own home.

It is designed to help you to develop the habit of yoga with a bite-sized, progressive practice. At the end of the 6 weeks, you will have developed a regular 30-45 minute yoga practice.

6 Weeks of one-to-one coaching either online or in-person with your own how-to videos and online instruction with Simone using a variety of Asana, Somatic Movement, Breathwork and Meditation.
